Review: Nakin Natural Anti-Ageing Skincare

I have to admit that despite putting in a lot of effort into having a regular skincare regime last year, this year I seem to have gone off track and have failed to keep up a scheduled skincare system. However, when I was offered the chance to review some natural anti-ageing skincare products from Nakin it spurred me on to get back on the skincare wagon.

My skin is on the dry side and can be quite sensitive so I lean towards more natural, gentle products when looking for new skincare options so when I learned that the Nakin brand has won awards for their holistic approach to beauty I knew I was going to like their products.

The Nakin range is described as the ultimate in natural anti-ageing skincare, with an ethos of offering high-performance skincare products made with premium natural ingredients ensuring beautiful skin at every age. The natural beauty range including a full system of cleansers, face & eye creams, oil and serum treatments.

Each Nakin skincare product has been exclusively formulated and produced in England. A huge bonus is that all of their products are cruelty-free and as an animal lover and plant-based easter this is really important for me.

I was sent: Nakin Natural Anti-Ageing Advanced Cleansing Milk, Anti-Ageing Purifying Face Toner & Revitalising Face Oil. Here are my thoughts:

Cleansing Milk

Regular cleansing is an important part of any skincare regime as it removes dirt, makeup and pollutants from the skin. The Nakin cleansing milk has been formulated with an active blend of oils, hyaluronic acid, pomegranate and seaweed extract which evens skin tone and assist cell renewal.

My first impression when I applied the cleanser to my skin was just how gorgeous the fragrance was! It is really reminiscent of a spa treatment which makes it feel luxurious. It has a pleasant lightly creamy texture and I was happy to see that it removed my makeup (even mascara) without any trouble.

I sometimes find cleansers can be a bit harsh on my dry/sensitive skin but this product left my skin feeling simply clean and fresh without the tightness that sometimes accompanies other products. At £15.00 per 150ml bottle, I can understand why it won the Best Buy Award, in the prestigious 2019 Green Parent Magazine Natural Beauty Awards.

Purifying Face Toner

This step is one I often skip in my skincare regime, however, toning is important for a deep pore clean for fresher, brighter skin free of impurities.

The Nakin toner has a fresh, natural scent with powerful plant actives helping keep your skin in great condition.  Ingredients include Hyaluronic Acid which smooths, plumps and evens skin tone along with Witch Hazel that has astringent toning properties and reduces inflammation. This combination offers a natural detoxifying skin boost.

Again, toners have been known to leave my sensitive skin feeling tight and uncomfortable, however, the Nakin purifying face toner simply leaves my skin feeling squeaky clean with a lovely cooling effect which I expect comes from the Aloe ingredient.

This product is certainly a refreshing tonic that acts as an extra level of cleanser for clean, soft and revived skin.  Again, at a price of £15.00 for a 150ml bottle I think this is really great value.

Revitalising Face Oil

No skincare regime is complete without a moisture top-up and facial oils are one of my favourite products because my dry skin really relishes a good conditioning oil treatment.

The revitalising facial oil is designed to boost and calm skin with natural anti-ageing properties. The anti-wrinkle oil is designed to repair and illuminate skin with an age-defying formula of plant oils such as peach kernel oil which is packed full of omega oils for all-round age-defying assistance and baobab oil that restores life to skin with antioxidants and a regenerating effect.

The oil applies really easily to the skin (I admit I probably overdo the amount of oil I use at any one time because my skin really loves it), and I was surprised to find that it is not greasy and it really soothes dry areas.

The Nakin facial oil leaves my skin feeling calm and hydrated which I find really important as I often feel the discomfort of tight, dry skin. I think it would be perfect for anyone suffering from eczema or psoriasis. The oil comes in a 50ml bottle and is priced at £22.00.

Overall, I have really enjoyed testing out these products and would love to try more of the Nakin natural skincare range. I am not surprised that Nakin has been nominated for Best New British Skincare Brand and would happily recommend it to anyone looking for natural, cruelty-free skincare range. I award the Nakin range 5 out of 5 stars.
