Hello! I’m Micaela, the voice behind Stylish London Living. I’m a blogger, digital marketer, and web designer living in a small village in Kent, England with my husband Steve, our two-and-a-half-year-old daughter, three Labradors, three cats, and two cornsnakes. Life is never quiet in our house!

My Story

I started Stylish London Living back in 2012 whilst working in digital marketing in London. Initially, it was a way to better understand the blogging world from the other side – as a content creator rather than a marketer. What began as a professional experiment quickly became a passion project that’s now been part of my life for over a decade.

After moving to London in 2008 and completing my BA in Computing & Design for the World Wide Web at Goldsmiths College and my MA in Creative Industries at Birkbeck College, I launched my digital marketing career. In 2015, I returned to Kent, and in 2016, I took the leap into freelancing. Today, I run Stylish London Living along with a couple more blogs and my web design business, Micaela Burr Web Design.

Stylish London Living is a lifestyle blog covering everything from beauty and fashion to food, travel, parenting, home design, and crafts. I write honest reviews, practical how-to guides, and share insights from my own experiences as a mum, vegan, animal lover, and creative.

My content is inspired by the seasons, current trends, UK awareness days, and the everyday moments that make life interesting. Whether you’re looking for parenting tips, vegan recipe ideas, product reviews, or craft inspiration, I aim to provide trustworthy, helpful content that feels like advice from a friend.

My Values

I’m passionate about animal welfare and support charities including the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust, Cats Protection and RSPB. I only collaborate with brands and products that align with my values, and I maintain full editorial control over everything published here. Authenticity matters to me – what you read here reflects my genuine experiences and opinions.

Beyond the Blog

When I’m not blogging or designing websites, you’ll find me crocheting (I’ve run a local crochet group for five years and organise seasonal yarn bombs in our village), spending time with my family, or enjoying nature walks with our dogs. I’m also an avid reader and believe strongly in the power of community, creativity, and a good cup of coffee.
