DIY Baby Shark Fizzing Bath Salts

When you’re feeling stressed a classic way to relax is to have a nice long soak in a hot bath. I have to admit that I am more of a shower person but when I have had a long week I do like to induldge in some me time; drawing up a hot bath, lighting a few candles and probably finding an episode or two of a series I am watching to enjoy whilst I soak.

One thing I always look forward to when I am planning a bath is what bath salts to use. Thanks to a few friends I have a small selection of salts in different colours and fragrances which I like to alternate between but nothing is more satisfying than enjoying bath salts that you have made yourself.

These DIY baby shark fizzing bath salts are not only relaxing and soothing but also whymisal with the shark sprinkles adding a bit of fun into the mix. It only takes a few ingredients and mixing them together to make this lovely treat, or perhaps a gift for a stressed friend? Why not give it a go?

Supplies:

  • ¼ cup Epsom salts
  • ¼ cup citric acid
  • ¼ cup corn starch
  • ½ cup baking soda
  • 1 tbsp sweet almond oil
  • Blue mica powder
  • Bright blue mica powder
  • Shark sprinkles

Directions:

Add epsom salts, citric acid, corn starch, and baking soda to a bowl.

Mix well with a whisk.

Very slowly, add sweet almond oil, whisking while pouring. Stir until well mixed.

Separate the mixture into two bowls.

Add blue mica to one bowl and stir.

Add bright blue mica to another bowl and stir.

Add sprinkles to each bowl.

Layer the two colors into a jar, one spoonful at a time.

Add a few more sprinkles to the top.

Use a few tablespoons in your bath.
