Review: Jewellery from Sustainable Fashion brand Wearth

As an environmentally minded person, I love to learn about brands offering something a bit different when it comes to sustainability and recycling, so when I was contacted by Wearth and offered the chance to review some of their amazing ethical handmade jewellery I jumped at the chance.

I selected to review two of pieces of jewellery:

Smoke & Ash Maxi Silver Star Necklace

When it comes to necklaces I like minimal but quirky pendants which allow me to show off a little of my personalty. The silver star necklace caught my eye with it’s lovely shape and understated elegance.

This is a handmade ethical necklace with a large star cast in recycled silver on a thick sterling silver chain, designed and made in England by artisan jewellery maker, Smoke & Ash.

Smoke and Ash was created in 2017 by Sarah Adams who after taking a course discovered a passion for jewellery making. Each piece of jewellery that Sarah makes is handcrafted at her home workshop in the South East of England. Her stunning jewellery is made from recycled sterling silver and all her packaging is made from recycled materials.

I really love this silver star necklace for many reasons – firstly it’s just so beautiful with it’s brushed silver effect showing where the maker worked it into shape making it a unique handmade piece. I also love that it is made from recycled materials and comes from a British maker. Fantastic.

The silver star necklace makes a great piece to wear with a casual look as well as a bit of sparkle for a night out. I really love it and award it 5 out or 5 stars.

 Hummingbird Hawkmoth Molten Silver Ring

I don’t wear many rings. In fact, since I separated from my husband and removed my engagement and wedding rings I haven’t worn any but when I spotted this elegant minimal molten silver ring on the Wearth website I was immediately drawn in by its unique style.

These molten rings are made by hand using the technique ‘reticulation’ which creates texture and organic form with the recycled sterling silver. Hummingbird Hawkmoth makes each ring to order which means that each ring will be totally unique. No two are the same.

Hummingbird Hawkmoth is an eco-conscious jewellery line created by Brighton jewellery maker, Nicole. Each piece of jewellery is individually made by hand using recycled sterling silver, making it easy to discover unique ethical jewellery. All orders are also sent in beautiful packaging made with plastic-free and recycled materials.

I simply love how quirky and unique the shape of this ring is and that each ring is made to order so it really is special and I feel special when I wear it. The ring has a fascinating texture which I love to look at. It’s comfortable to wear and just adds the right amount of sparkle to my every day look.

Again, I really love this unique ring and award it 5 out or 5 stars.
