Bubbledogs champagne & hotdogs

I recently visited Bubbledogs, a  champagne & hotdogs restaurant on Charlotte Street in London. What an experience it was, I was pretty dubious at the idea of having champagne & hotdogs together but I was actually pleasantly surprised!

Bubbledogs offers a range of hotdogs and toppings, of course I had the vegetarian hotdog but there were also beef and pork available made from 100% British pork and beef with their own recipes. The hotdog toppings were amazing, from  fried egg, tomato relish and black pudding bits to deep fried hot dog with spicy buffalo sauce, blue cheese, pickled celery and celery seeds. With Coleslaw and Tots (friend potato pieces) for side dishes.

I went for the Reuben with sauerkraut, Russian dressing, melted Swiss cheese with extra onions on top. It was amazing, the ingredients came together to make a delicious combination of flavours. The hotdog itself was fantastic, I did a double take thinking that it might have been real meat rather than the vegetarian one I asked for, it had great flavour and texture. To go with the hotdog I had a couple of glasses of a lovely fruity champagne – in general I am not a big fan, but we found this one on the menu and I really enjoyed it.

Do I recommend you visit Bubbledogs? Definitely! But beware – it can get super busy, when I was there a huge queue formed out of the door, so book ahead! If there is one negative thing about this champagne & hotdogs restaurant it’s that the venue is too small!

Overall it was a fantastic experience and one I hope to repeat soon.
