Review: Bluetooth Stereo #Speaker from Inateck

With the summer having finally arrived in the UK many of us are dusting off our picnic blankets, stocking up on al fresco nibbles and heading to one of the beautiful parks to get the most out of the sun. Of course there’s the question of entertainment – when you’re outside it can be hard to find something to do other than simply eat and drink with friends, so when Inateck offered me the chance to review their 10W Bluetooth Stereo Speaker** which uses battery power to function – perfect for outside – I decided to give it a go.

First things first, the Bluetooth Stereo Speaker has a modern design with a simple look made from sustainable and environment friendly ABS plastic. Its dimensions come in at 240 x 62 x 41mm and weighs 330g which makes it perfect for slipping into your picnic or BBQ bag before heading out. There’s also a handy retractable stand to firmly keep your tablet or smartphone at a great viewing angle.

There are built-in 3.5mm inlets which support surround sound signals and the speaker supports any kind of media playback: music, games, movies or net-based media streaming via either a Bluetooth connection or via a wired connection. The Bluetooth Stereo Speaker’s built-in microphone also allows it to be used for conversations – perfect  for hands free or speaker-phone calls.

So let’s talk sound – when playing music from my iPod through the speakers I was surprised at how such a small and simple looking speaker could produce such a good sound. The treble range is certainly shown off well, however, the bass is a little grainy. The overall sound experience I rate as very good especially considering that this is a battery powered speaker. I would be very happy to use this in my house or around town as portable entertainment.

Check out this video for an idea of the sound quality.

Overall I am pleased with the speaker, it packs a powerful sound punch for something so small and something which runs on batteries. Despite the lower, bass register being a little rough around the edges the rest of the sound spectrum is well represented. I award the speaker from inateck 4 out of 5 .

This speaker is available to buy on Amazon.
