Top Mother’s Day Gifts 2022

It feels like we were only celebrating International Women’s Day yesterday, and now we’re powering through to another celebration of women; Mother’s Day.

Finding the perfect Mother’s Day gift for the special mother, or mother figure in your life can be hard. There are more traditional gifts and some more out of the box. today I am going to give you a rundown of a mix of both to help you choose something really special.

Forever Roses

Your mum might love roses, the one problem with buying flowers is they die rather quickly. Now if you are getting someone you love flowers you don’t want them to die as those flowers are a symbol of your love. Cue the most amazing gift idea ever! Forever roses are flowers that are preserved in a case and they can live for various amounts of time, much longer than any ‘normal’ shop bought flowers.

They are made using the very best roses in the world, these are found in Colombia and Ecuador. They then go through a special process to make them last for years to come without wilting and dying after just a week. Forever roses should be kept indoors and away from direct sunlight if you want them to last a while. You can buy them in most colours, so if your mum’s favourite colour is blue or pink then be sure to get that colour.

Forever roses make a great gift and are the perfect symbol of love and affection. They look great displayed around the house as well, giving the rooms a splash of colour.

Video

This may sound really cheesy but presenting your loved one with a personalised video of yourself will make their day if they are into that of course. You will have to know them very well and be with them for a long while before creating a gift like this. You could also make a video with all of their loved ones, including the children and other family members.

To go one step further with your creation you could contact a specialised animation studio and ask them to make you an animated video that will be romantic and funny all at the same time. Let them unwrap it or have it ready to press play when you are opening presents. Watch your loved one’s face light up as they see themselves and you in animated form.

Perfume

Who doesn’t love perfume? After all, who doesn’t always want to smell their best? If they have a particular favourite brand of perfume you could get them a bottle of that for Mother’s Day. Perfumes can be expensive and people often put off buying them throughout the year because of the price tag. This is why Mother’s Day is the perfect excuse to treat them and spoil them with the perfume they wanted.

Shops and department stores can offer some great perfume sets. These usually include perfume and a body lotion with the same scent. They are often around the same price as one bottle of perfume so you are essentially getting the body lotion for free.

Something else to think about is miniatures. Some designers have more than one scent and perfume on sale. What they do to get more customers buying their products is to sell three or four of their perfumes in a miniature set. This is great if your other half hasn’t tried the other scents and you want to broaden their horizons.

Flowers

We may have mentioned the forever roses but if they are not something your other half will be interested in then you could get a special bunch of flowers created by a florist. Be sure to get these booked in with plenty of time to spare as Mother’s Day can be a very busy time for florists.

Your mum might have a certain flower that she loves (my mum loves freesias!) so be sure to include this in with the flowers that are chosen for her. Maybe to go with the flowers you could buy her a beautiful vase to keep them in.

You can get so many vases these days, all made out of different materials and different designs. You can even get personalised ones with messages on them.

Crystal

Do you ever walk past the Swarovski shop and look in amazement at the super shiny crystal figures in the window? Why not buy one and put it in the display cabinet or somewhere it can catch the natural light. Be aware if your mum has pets or small children in the house they could knock it off if put somewhere low down.

They have a lot of designs and categories when it comes to their crystal. They do wildlife, Disney Characters, DC characters and animal ornaments as well. There is definitely something for everyone at Swarovski.

Jewellery

What woman doesn’t love something sparkly for Mother’s Day? Pay close attention to the type of jewellery she wears often to help you choose the materials she loves. There are so many metals and stones available that you could very easily get the wrong one.

I really love this simple and elegant hummingbird pendant from ethical jewellery brand Jana Reinhardt, handcrafted in the UK from sterling silver or 9ct or 18ct solid gold and platinum. I was lucky to have been sent one of these lovely pendants and I think it’s just beautiful.

Technology

Let’s face it, technology is everywhere these days you can’t really avoid it. Surprise her on Mother’s Day with a brand new phone or tablet. If she is into her fitness then maybe you could think about getting her the latest Fitbit to wear whilst she is working out.

If you want to impress her and she loves technology and fitness then you could invest in the Peloton bike, it would be an investment as these are not cheap. You also have to pay for the membership and subscriptions. She can do this at home and enjoy all the different workouts on offer.

If your mum commutes to work or walks long distances then maybe get her an iPod or some wireless earbuds to use when she is out and about. Shop around for the best ones on the market that are within your budget and be sure to check out the latest reviews on any of the products you look at buying.

We hope this gives you lots of ideas on how to surprise your mum this Mother’s Day. Remember don’t spend over your budget because it is the thought that counts with anything you get, big or small.
