Royal Albert Hall Singalong

One of my favourite things to do at Christmas since moving to London is partake in a good old fashioned Christmas Carol Concert, and this year we really did it in style at the Royal Albert Hall Singalong!

I had never been inside the Royal Albert Hall before and what a fantastic introduction this was – the Hall is stunning inside, a huge circle shape with a huge amount of seating space around it’s edge with a lovely stage set under a massive organ.

The Hall was packed full of people wanting to share in some festive singing, and the concert was really wonderful. The orchestra played beautifully to hymns and modern Christmas songs, the choir was fantastic and the conductor was hilarious – the perfect leader for the afternoon’s activities.

The audience really got into the spirit with mexican waves running around the inside of the Hall in time to ‘I wish it could be Christmas everyday’ – what an experience!

There was a wonderful lady soloist from Australia whom had a stunning voice and also added to the fun with her jokes and getting the audience to join in with dances and singing.

I really really loved the singalong at the Royal Albert Hall and can really recommend it for anyone looking for a family friendly festive activity to really get you into the spirit of the season!

Let’s face it, you can’t really beat a good singalong!
