Review: The White & Light Hotel Chocolat Easter Egg

I am a bit fussy when it comes to chocolate – I can only eat a little at a time before I have had enough and I really don’t like dark, bitter chocolate! This year for Easter my mother kindly gave me new The White & Light Easter Egg from Hotel Chocolat which was the perfect choice for me.

The packaging is super pretty with a lovely hat-box style Egg container featuring a lovely bow. Inside the box I found a large, thick white chocolate egg, and not only that! Cracking open the creamy looking white chocolate I found a bunch of little Easter themed chocolates: white chocolate praline, strawberry and vanilla truffles, white chocolate dippy soldiers and white chocolate chicks.

The different extra chocolates ensured a nice variation with both fruit and nut variations featuring. The soldiers and chick with their delicious flavours added a very seasonal theme. I have to admit my favourites were the little vanilla egg and the amazing vanilla ‘fried egg’ slab which was totally cute as well as melt in the mouth delicious.

For anyone else out there like me who love sweet, light, milky choclate I can whole heartedly recommend The White & Light Hotel Chocolat Easter Egg which gets 5 stars from me. I look forward to next year to see what new ideas appear!
