Next Wedding Afternoon Tea

This week has been busy for the girls at Stylish London Living, we’ve attended a couple of fabulous events! We were invited by Fashion Brand Next to a decadent Afternoon Tea at the stunning Montcalm Hotel, Moorgate. For those who don’t know I am getting married in 4 weeks time (squee!) and felt like I deserved a bit of a break from the Wedding planning stress!

We arrived in the early afternoon and were welcomed with a glass of champagne (I am not usually a fan of the bubbly however found this a really tasty treat) in a beautiful room at the Hotel with incredible chandeliers, the room had a classic Jane Austen feel about it, and was decked out with dresses and shoes from Next.There were about 10 of us in total including 2 of the ladies from Next social media, all of us involved in Weddings or Wedding fashion of some sort, we all sipped out champers and chatted away while the other guests arrived.

After a bit of a natter with the other ladies the afternoon tea was brought in, it looked incredible with sandwiches, scones and cakes. I particularly liked the cupcakes as they had lilac icing (the theme of my wedding!). We tucked in and once we’d had some of the delicious tea the Next ladies stood up and gave us a tour of the products on show. There were some really adorable flower girl dresses which made me feel a little sad that I wouldn’t be having any on my big day! I particularly liked the Autumn/Winter trend for all things purple – it looks like my wedding will be bang on trend!

We had a chance to put some questions to the ladies and had a great conversation about up coming trends, as well as the services Next provide such as gift list as well as all the dresses, shoes and suits one could ever need! As the talk came to a close we were offered the chance to win some Next vouchers for putting together a wedding pinterest board inspired by Next products – I will have to polish mine off before submitting it for the competition!

Overall I had a delightful day, having met some great people in a fabulous venue with delicious treats and not forgetting the lovely goodie bag at the end which included a sparkly photo frame (great for wedding snaps in 4 weeks!), a keepsake box from their Mr & Mrs home-range and an adorable mini-wedding cake!
