My 2022 Jewellery Favourites

I have to admit that I am not the type of person that years lots of jewellery all the time. I actually have quite a big collection of contemporary and stylish jewellery, but rather than wearing something all the time I prefer to have a small collection of favourites which I put on if I am going out, or if there is some sort of special occasion.

Today I wanted to share with you what my jewellery favourites are at the moment!

Bola Bell Necklace

A bola necklace is a piece of jewellery traditionally worn by pregnant women that originated in Indonesia and are usually made from silver. The pendant features a small ball with a bell that chimes as you move. The sound of the chime is thought to be calming for babies throughout pregnancy.

Although I have never been pregnant, I purchased this necklace many years ago to replace a previous necklace which had a similar chiming feature but unfortunately, I lost it. I love this necklace as the sound is very sweet and it reminds me very much of Christmas time! This is my go-to necklace which I will put on if I am heading out the door and want to add a little something to my look.

Bee Necklace

“If Honey Bees die out, Humans will follow a few years later” -Albert Einstein

This necklace is a recent addition to my jewellery box. I was inspired to buy it from Project Honeybees after attending a talk on Bees. It is an ‘adopt a bee’ necklace, and the proceeds of each purchase are donated towards projects working to save our sweet honey-producing friends.

Each necklace comes with the opportunity to adopt and name your very own unique Queen bee! I named my Queen bee Beatrix. Get it? Bee-a-trix! She is a queen bee from Loiza, Puerto Rico. She’s been a queen for about 8 months now and is expected to work for 3 more years! She was moved from a dying bee colony and was reintroduced to a brand new beehive that accepted her warmly.

Stacking Rings

When I was a teenager I went through a stage of wearing a ring on every finger. Yes, 10 rings all at once! Looking back that was probably a bit overkill but I was experimenting with my image and loved being a bit different. I think this is where I developed a love for stacking rings. Since discovering Daisy London’s rings earlier this year I have amassed quite a little collection of their stunning rings. I now have 5 of their lovely silver rings.

An important factor of any brand for me is its dedication to the environment. At Daisy, they don’t design throw away pieces or use cheap metals. They use recycled 925 sterling silver with high-quality 18ct gold plating, designed to be worn and treasured for years. They include a six-month warranty as standard. Each piece of jewellery is designed to be an extension of the customer’s personal style.

Engagement Ring

If you follow me on social media you would have seen that I got engaged a couple of weeks ago and I have been loving showing off my gorgeous engagement ring. I picked the princess cut engagement ring out myself and it was made bespoke from scratch to my size and material choice.

I don’t really have many rose gold pieces of jewellery but I have always loved the soft pink tones, so when we decided to make it official I was super excited to choose a rose gold engagement ring. I love that it looks a bit like a snowflake, with a larger stone in the middle and the smaller ones around the edge. I can’t wait to order my matching rose gold chevron wedding band which will hopefully sit beautifully beneath my engagement ring.
