Inspiration: Cats Protection

“Our vision is a world where every cat is treated with kindness and an understanding of its needs”- Cats Protection

If you have had a read of my about me page you would know that alongside my husband and I live a collection of animals. Darcy, Georgie & Charlie (all named after characters in Jane Austin’s Pride & Prejudice) are our little pride of black cats who roam around our flat day and night. Darcy & Georgie are brother and sister and were born in 2009, Charlie is the youngest and was born in 2011.

I am a big animal lover, thinking of cats in desperate situations really upsets me and I find  great inspiration from those people and organisation who work to protect and care for those animals who otherwise would be abandoned. Cats Protection is one such organisation and I am proud to support them in their fight for the well being of cats in the UK.

Founded in 1927, Cats Protection has become the UK’s top feline welfare charity, now with around 235,000 cats and kittens being helped each year. Cats Protection also offers an array of cat care information for owners and potential cat owners, seeking to educate people of all ages about cats and their care.

You can help care for unwanted cats in many ways, I have chosen to sponsor a Cat Cabin for £10 per month. I will soon receive regular kit-e-mails (mini movies of cats in our cabins via email – I can’t wait!), the Cat Cabin Newsletter twice a year, plus an exclusive sticker, pen and trolley token.

I urge all cat lovers to get involved with this organisation, a truly inspirational charity out there to love and cherish forgotten felines.
