Books, books everywhere…

Kindle Fire

I was never particularly keen at reading when I was at school, I read more as homework than for pleasure. Things have changed over the last few years and now I am a bit of a bookworm, I love having something to enjoy while on the train on the way to work (it helps to ignore some of the weirdos on the London transportation system!)

One thing that was always a drag when reading was having to actually carry the book, but these days with the magic of ebook readers life has never been better for those of us who adore reading and don’t mind the digital format. I have had a kindle for many years and am sooo excited to be getting one of the new Kindle Fires which are available in a week’s time.

So, what am I reading at the moment? I love a good thriller something like the Da Vinci Code with historical references and mystery really gets my imagination going. I recently discovered a series of books from Scott Mariani which have had my full attention for the last few weeks.

booksBendict Hope (ex-military, ex-theologian) is a character who has dedicated his life to saving people. When kidnappers come calling Ben hope is on the case, the series of 7 books (and 1 dedicated ebook) follow his adventures around the world finding lost people and artefacts as he battles corruption and criminality as he goes. I have found these books to be very compelling, well written and educational when exploring historical and religious themes.

I am currently reading the 4th book in the series and look forward to reading my way through all of the series.

Do you love reading? What are you favourite genres? What are you reading right now? I’d love to hear.
