Review: MozArt Brush Pens Set
One thing that the majority of Bullet Journalists have in common is a love of pens and I have to hold up my hand and say I am definitely one of these people. Although my artistic skills are sadly not as brilliant as I would like them to be I enjoy trying to learn new skills like hand lettering.
To help with my dalliance with hand lettering I have collected a few different tools including a set of 20 brush pens from MozArt which are colourful markers with a paintbrush like tip to create smooth lines with a brush like quality.
Brush pens are commonly used for modern calligraphy as they are perfect for creating thin lines, using light strokes, and thick lines by applying more pressure to the tip. Brush pens are very versatile and can also be used for all manner of creative arts or simply for colouring in!
The MozArt Pens are of a professional standard and are make with individual bristles for control over finer details. I have found the brush pen tips to be of a good quality and are flexible making them easy to use and control.
The pens used specially designed ink which allows for blending with water on watercolour paper which is perfect for making watercolour effects. I enjoy playing around with the watercolour effect in my Bullet Journal.
MozArt sources their non-toxic, ASTM standard ink from Japan (black) and Germany (other colours) in order to supply quality materials for users of their pens and aim to produce high-quality art products for affordable prices. I have found the brush pens to have vibrant colours and the rich pigment which makes them very satisfying to use.
My only slight complaint would be that the ink can ghost (appear on the other side of a page) in my Leuchtturm 1917 A4 dotted notebook if used densely in one area, however, a single layer of ink usually doesn’t show through.
All in all, I have enjoyed using the selection of brush pens from MozArt, they are of good quality with bright and colourful ink which makes them perfect for embellishing my Bullet Journal and the flexible tips make them perfect for practising calligraphy and hand lettering. I award them 4 out of 5 stars.
