Review: George Foreman 19570 Grill
As one of our New Year’s Resolutions my husband and I are working on keeping our flat tidier this year – which can be tough when you have a lot of stuff and not a huge home! One of my main bug bears is that my meat-eating husband will cook his meal using 2-3 of our sauce/pans and leaves them on the side to be washed up which is particularly disturbing for vegetarian me when I am faced with a saucepan coated in meat-fat which has solidified and is generally pretty grim for me to have to clean before making my own meat-free meal.
Whilst browsing the Argos website I discovered a great deal on a George Foreman 19570 grill with a large grilling surface which can handle up to 5 portions at once which was, at time of writing, half price at £27.49. I have had ‘healthy grills’ before, but I’ve never had an official George Foreman one as they have seemed pricey, but this was a great opportunity to find something for my meat-cooking husband which means my pots and pans will be meat-fat free!
So far I have been very happy with the grill. It’s easy to use – simply plug it in, place the meat (and/or veggies) onto the plate and let it cook! The non-stick grill plates are easy to clean and thanks to the patented angled grill it boasts a 42% reduction in fat as it simply runs off the grill and into a handy collection tray.
George Foreman grill features:
- 1630 watts.
- Cooks 5 portions.
- Non-stick plates for easy cleaning.
- Floating hinge to easily adjust to any thickness of food.
- Sloped grill so oil or fat can drain easily and drip tray to collect the oil and fat.
- Temperature ready indicator.
- Easy grip handle.
My husband is happy as the grill cooks meat quickly and evenly and I am very happy due to the lack of meat-coated pans! Win, win! We are awarding the George Foreman 19570 Grill 4 out of 5 stars for making cooking fast, simple, healthy and tidy!
