Sanderson – Pure Evoke Mio digital radio launch

My husband and I have had several digital radios over the last few years, and I have left it up to him to choose the radio each time. Some have been sleek, but more often than not they are chunky looking and usually are black or dark shades. Not very inspiring! I was recently invited along to an event where designer fabric company Sanderson, in combination with technology company Pure celebrated the launch of a range of decidedly more aesthetically pleasing radios.

The radios have been designed to incorporate prints “Chelsea” a floral pattern and “Dandelion Clocks” with a more botanical feel, by leading British manufacturer of fabrics and wallpaper, Sanderson, which have a quintessential British feel to them.

The Floral Chelsea design has been in circulation since 1957, and is a Sanderson classic, with rose bouquets wrapping the Evoke Mio in a nostalgic floral print. I really like the delicate elegance this print offers to this otherwise modern device, and can see it sitting on my desk whilst I blog away.

The botanical design Dandelion Clocks was designed by Fiona Howard and launched in 2008. It is one of Sanderson’s best ever selling prints. I love the combination of contemporary design and the swinging sixties with its range of bold colours.

Both Pure and Sanderson champion styles in home design, which marry traditionally popular prints with a contemporary edge and this can be easily observed in the Evoke collection.

The Evoke Mio comes in two sizes, the D2 and D4, and both offer Bluetooth connectivity for ease of use and are made with high-quality components, hand tuned and built with wooden cabinets to enhance audio. Additionally the radios have aux input for an iPod/ MP3 player, alarm, sleep and snooze timers, high quality OLED display and a kitchen timer. There are optional rechargeable battery packs (for 12-20 hours play time depending on the model) should you wish to enjoy music whilst sipping tea outside.

The radios start at £149.99 and are available from John Lewis.
