Review: COOSA Smart Plugs

When I was thinking about setting up our Christmas lights this year I decided that I no longer wanted to have to walk around the room turning on individual switches to illuminate our lounge. Instead, I decided to look into getting some smart plugs which would allow me to turn the festive lights on and off from my phone or via our Amazon Alexa devices.

I spent some time browsing Amazon to find the perfect plugs and I eventually found the COOSA smart plugs which appeared to be everything I wanted. The plugs are easy to install simply plug them in and connect via 2.4G wifi internet by using the eFamilyCloud app on your phone.

Once set up you are able to turn the smart plug on and off via the app or you can add the eFamilyCloud skill to Alexa to be able to voice activate the plugs! I have to admit I feel pretty smug when I walk into the living room and simply say ‘Alexa, turn on Christmas lights’ to turn up the festive cheer in the house.

Of course, the plugs can be used for all manner of electronic equipment and offers you the chance to monitor all of your connected devices and turn them on/off anywhere and anytime through the app which is useful if you live with someone who always leaves things on!

Additionally, you can program schedules to automatically power on or off your home electronics even away home for time and energy saving. This is great if you are worried about potential burglars when you’re on holiday – simply set the plugs to turn your lamps on and off to make it look like someone is home.

I have really enjoyed using the COOSA smart plugs to control my Christmas lights this year and award them 5 out of 5 stars.
