Tour de France continues to intrigue #cycling

Following the sensational start to this year’s Tour de France, it’s little surprise to see this year’s race continue to fascinate and intrigue fans. From the start of the event in Yorkshire’s picturesque dales, it was clear this year’s race was going to be a unique and incredible race, and that hasn’t changed as the riders have reached the mountains of France. As was the scene throughout Yorkshire for the Grand Depart, there hasn’t been a stage of this year’s race so far that hasn’t seen thousands flock to attend and watch the riders in action.

And as well as the popularity of the Tour with spectators lining the race track, this year’s event has also captivated betting fans since the start. While a number of Betfairfans were disappointed to see British hope and many people’s betting favourite Chris Froome forced to retire from the race early following a series of heavy crashes, there is still plenty of excitement left in this year’s event.

Whether it’s the overall points winner, the king of the mountains or the winning team, betting fans will be rightfully stuck to the edge of their seats until the race’s iconic climax in the centre of Paris later this month.
