Review: Yours Truly Organics Toner & Face Balm

Life in the big city can put a lot of stress on skin. I have to admit that I haven’t really been fair to mine, particular my face as I wear make up every day and spend only a little time each night cleansing and moisturising after a long day of working in the dirty city. My current daily routine is to moisturise in the morning before putting on my make up and then using a cleansing wipe (quick and convenient) and moisturise in the evening before bed.

Of course my mother attempted to train me when I was younger to cleanse, tone and moisturise to keep my skin happy and healthy, but life does just get in the way these days!  Before Christmas my sister introduced me to her weekly pamper session which she has incorporated into her weekend to ensure that city life doesn’t get the better of her skin and it has inspired me to take on my own regime for 2015 moving forward.

At a recent blogger event I was introduced to Yours Truly Organics whose philosophy is that beautiful skin is achievable using ingredients that are in the best interest of your health. So whilst their products are beautiful on the outside, they are also beautiful on the inside. All of the Yours Truly Organics products are certified Organic by Ecocert which means that at least 95%natural ingredients in the finished product, certain chemicals are not used and packaging must be biodegradable or recyclable.

I was lucky enough to have been gifted a few samples of their Toner & Face Balm* and have recently given them a go! First of course I tried the Toner having cleansed my face, the toner is designed to return skin to its optimal pH level and improve its ability to absorb moisture. Ingredients include Witch Hazel and Aloe Vera which soothe and repair the skin’s surface. When I opened the sample packet I was met with a product with a lovely soft and silky texture which applied to the skin easily and left my skin feeling zingy and clean.

After using a face scrub and mask my next stop was the Yours Truly Organics face balm which is described as being highly moisturising and acts as a base for make up. The balm includes Pea Extract to improve elasticity and regulate the skin’s sebum production and it also includes Daisy Flower extract which brightens skin and will help you look and feel your best. This product was the Winner of the Janey Lee Grace 2014 Platinum Award for best Face Balm which doesn’t surprise me because this is a fantastic product. As I have dry/sensitive skin I love any product that leaves my skin feely dewy and plump which this product does. Again this product has a lovely feel and applies with ease.

I really enjoyed using the Yours Truly Organics Toner & Face Balm, so much in fact that I have since ordered a full size Toner, Face Balm & Cleanser from the brand to use in my weekly skincare regime moving forward.
