Review: Umberto Giannini indulgent moisture hair mask

I have abused my hair over the years from dyeing to straightening and I haven’t been very regular with treatments to make sure that despite the abuse my hair isn’t too damaged. Luckily my hair has seemed to cope pretty well although it can be dry but at least it hasn’t started falling out in protest! I have been trying out a number of different hair remedies recently and was excited to try another something new.

I was recently offered the chance to give my poor hair a delicious treat in the form of a Umberto Giannini Hair Masque* which I was gifted from the brand. The product is described as a deep treatment conditioner for dry, damaged hair using shea butters in an intensive conditioning mask in order to replenish dry damaged hair (like mine) whilst the luxurious feel and soothing scent pamper the senses.

The mask is applied liberally to damp hair for at least 3 minutes (it works better the longer it’s left in so don’t watch the clock too closely), before being rinsed off so it’s great to use before a shower  – perhaps with a face mask as part of a pampering routine! I have to admit that the masks’s thick consistency – similar to aqueous cream – is very satisfying and it applies to the hair well. The mask has also has a pleasant floral scent.

I have used this product a number of times now and find it certainly helps my hair feel healthier and generally happier with a really nice soft feel to the touch. One of my new years resolutions is to have a pamper day every week when I can indulge in a bit of me-time and although this is not my favourite hair mask product, I will be incorporating the Umberto Giannini indulgent moisture hair mask into my new routine moving forward!

I give the Umberto Giannini indulgent moisture hair mask 3 out of 5 stars.
