Review: Super Fruit tea from Teapigs

So Autumn is definitely here – the weather the last few days has shown us that! There’s nothing better than enjoying a delicious cup of hot tea whilst you watch it rain and I was lucky enough to have been given some TeaPigs Super Fruit tea bags* recently to help me beat back the weather blues.

I have to admit that I am not a huge fan of tea, usually preferring coffee, but when it comes to fruit tea I am a big fan loving the combinations of flavors which I find far more interesting than plain normal tea. The Super Fruit has one of these great combinations including: hibiscus, elderberry, blackcurrant, raisin, ligonberry, blueberry. This tea really has some big flavours and is perfect for anyone who loves a fruity hot drink with a slight tartness. Don’t forget that the antioxidants in this tea will help keep any nasty colds at bay – important at this time of year when illness seems to spread quickly!

Louise the tea taster from TeaPigs says “ The wishy-washy fruit teas are no longer – hurrah! We’ve popped real whole berries (cranberries and blueberries to be precise) to give a fruit tea that packs a super fruity punch – finally! These ingredients are great little super-foods so as well as a great tasting cuppa, you get a health kick too! ”

I really like this tea, not just for the amazing flavours but for TeaPigs’ version of the tea bag – a tea temple –  a roomy, biodegradable mesh bag with lots of space to allow the tea to infuse properly. Teapigs also use whole leaf herbs and whole flowers to make the best quality tea they know how. I award the Teapigs Super Fruit 4 out of 5 stars for offering me a delicious and warming pick me up for the colder months.
