Review: Frankincense & AllSpice Limited Edition Set from Molton Brown

I recently attended a special event at the Canary Wharf Molton Brown store with my sister where we were pampered to within an inch of our lives with a lovely hand massage which consisted of a scrub, wash and moisturise with some of the lovely Molton Brown products including the Frankincense & AllSpice range which is perfect for winter and Christmas lovers who like a bit of spice and warmth.

Not only did I leave with soft and supply hands which needed a bit of a treat having been brutalised by the cold weather of late, but I also left with the Frankincense & Allspice Festive Home Collection made up of hand wash, lotion and a home diffuser gift set in my bag and a smile on my face! Having sampled the lovely fragrance in store I was excited to unpack and try my set at home: the collection includes 150ml Frankincense & Allspice Aroma Reeds, 100ml Frankincense & Allspice Hand Wash & 100ml Frankincense & Allspice Enriching Hand Lotion.

Blended with frankincense and pimento berry the fragrance has a zingy top note of allspice with the frankincense coming through in the middle as a  sweet, warm, balsamic aroma rounded off with the heavy, earthy and woody fragrance of vetiver. If you were to ask my sister what sort of perfumes I like she would probably describe just the above!

When I look for hand washes I have to be careful as I have sensitive, often dry skin and I was delighted to find that despite being heavily perfumed the hand wash from Molton Brown has not had any negative effects on my skin. Instead washing my hands is now an activity that invokes warm and fuzzy festive memories which I enjoy. The hand lotion is equally delicious and it’s not one of those moisturising creams which takes forever to soak in taking only minutes to absorb and leaving hands feeling soft.

My favourite part of the set has to be the aroma reeds diffuser which has filled my home with a fiery and rich wintery scent which makes me smile when I get up in the morning and makes me feel relaxed when I walk in from the cold after a long day at work.

Described as the perfect gift for those who relish the festive season. lovers of Christmas jumpers, nutmeg and toasty nights in during winter I have to admit that the collection has to be one of my favourite purchases of late. The Frankincense & AllSpice Limited Edition Set from Molton Brown is available for £50 and makes a great gift (for friends or for yourself!) I award it 5 out of 5 stars.
