Recipe: Ice Cream Soda with Luscombe Drinks

When I was a little girl and my Grandfather would look after my sister and I, one of the treats he would make us is an Ice Cream Soda (cream soda with an ice cream float). So when Luscombe Drinks got in touch offering me the chance to try one of their products I was super happy to spot a Madagascan Vanilla Soda in their range – perfect for a modern take on my childhood favourite.

I decided on a few more tweaks for my modern version including using a healthier dairy-free Coconut Milk Ice Cream as well as adding a luxurious topping of Maple Syrup courtesy of We Love Maple. The Madagascan Vanilla in the soda has a distinctive powerful flavour which speaks of quality and works really well with the ice cream and syrup which brings an extra sweetness to the drink.

I really love this twist on a classic ice cream soda. If you’d like to give it a go, here is the simple but delicious recipe.

Ingredients:

  • Luscombe Drinks Madagascan Vanilla Soda*
  • Coconut Collaborative Vanilla Ice cream
  • Medium Maple Syrup from We Love Maple*

Method:

  1. Pour the Madagascan Vanilla Soda (best when chilled) into a tall glass
  2. Gently add 2 or 3 scoops of the Ice Cream to the soda – be careful because the soda will fizz up once the ice cream is added so make sure there’s space in the glass!
  3. Top with a generous drizzle of Maple Syrup
  4. Enjoy!
