Pillow Fight inspired Fashion Shoot from Calico PR

It always amazes me how many wacky days we have in our calendar to celebrate parts of our day to day existence. A couple of weeks ago, for the sixth year running, crowds of people found their way to Trafalgar square to take part in one of these days: International Pillow Fight Day.

Yes – the crowds arrived in central London with the sole purpose of letting loose and attacking each other in full feathery force with pillows! It’s not just us crazy Brits who get involved, but more than 100 cities around the world including Berlin, Paris and New York take part in the event, organised in attempt to get us to put everyday worries to one side and relive stress through the power of the pillow.

Newmindspace a non-profit Canadian organisation, came up with the day as part of the underground movement and since 2005, they have been putting together free fun-filled events for all ages from the likes of parties on subway cars, public pillow fights, giant games of capture the flag on city streets, massive bubble battles, public art installations and much more. The largest event in the calendar is Newmindspace’s Pillow Fight NYC, which attracts over 5,000 people every year.

Getting involved in this year’s frivolities Calico PR found inspiration in the flying feathers and decided to shoot a pillow fight inspired lingerie shoot.  Everyone remembers that iconic scene in Grease when the pink ladies have a sleep over and get a little rambunctious; adorning themselves in the latest lingerie fashion from a number of brands models tapped into the pink ladies energy by taking to the streets of England’s capital city for the day giving London a wakeup call to remember whilst Ana Gely, a Spanish self-taught life photographer captured the playful images.
