Introducing: New British #menswear brand OPEN

I was recently invited to the launch of OPEN, a new British menswear brand, and I was happy to go along to check out their collection of menswear for this Autumn when they will be opening on the high street offering a range of men’s fashion items from shoes to shirts.

OPEN was founded in 2013, based at the Granary in Barking East London and has grown to design exclusive ranges including footwear and accessories. Now apart of one of the largest UK retail groups they aim to offer the style conscious men of Britain a simple no-nonsense approach, made from premium quality materials at affordable prices in a simple modern, easy to shop environment which if you’re ever been shopping with a man you will have discovered the ‘no-fuss’ route is their preference!

Whilst browsing their Autumn collection it was clear to see that OPEN were focusing on the key trends such as the sport and hiking looks, alongside wardrobe essentials such as  t-shirts (from only £5), which have been designed to appeal to men of all ages.

I really like the casual but sleek feel of the collection, from the flannel shirts and jeans to smart blazers featuring a beautiful silk lining and great looking Parkas for when the weather turns. There is something a bit quirky about this brand which I love, it’s good to have some personality. I think the Autumn collection is both on trend and flexible enough for a casual day look or for an evening of office situation depending on the styling.

My husband who attended the event with me particularly liked the jackets and tried on a couple – although the wrong size – the cut and materials looked great.

At the launch event they had a number of concept graphics displaying the look of the new store which is opening later in the year, which have been put together via collaboration with Checkland Kindleysides to reflect the brand’s no-fuss streamlined approach with a modern twist coming through from the neutral colour scheme mixed with wood, metal and OPEN’s signature highlight orange hue.

The first store is planned to open September 2014 with a further 12 stores planned by the end of the year.
