Colette Fragrance Jeans for women from Salsa

Summer is a great time for fashion, out come the maxi dresses and short shorts – but there are some practical problems that come along with heat such as perhaps using more perfume than usual, especially when commuting in crowded London! Well I recently discovered there might be a whole new option for the fashion conscious who want to smell good all summer long: Fragrance Jeans.

Salsa, a Portuguese fashion brand understand this problem and have just released a new range of colourful cotton and elastane jeans with a medium waistline and a slim leg which don’t just look but, but are also imbued with fruity smells.

There are currently five available flavours including: blueberry, orange, lemon, apple and strawberry. Salsa says that the fragrances will withstand up to 20 washes with microcapsules having been embedded into the garment’s material which slowly release their scent to allow wearers the opportunity of looking and smelling great this summer. The jeans are available from Salsa for £55 with free delivery included.

I have to admit these jeans are certainly innovative, and although these jeans may promote sustainability due to less washing, I have to ask – is this genius or a little too far?
