A trip to Victoria’s Secret Flagship store in London

It happened a couple of weeks ago I remembered that there was a place where I really wanted to go: and of course, it was Victoria’s secret store.

I always been a huge fan of Victoria’s Secret as the fashion shows are pretty amazing, and the models…are not human. So for this reason, I always been very keen into discovering this store which in US is a fashion icon, and I have to say, also a great marketing strategy example.

As soon as you get to the entrance, what really impresses you is the grandness: it’s huge. I think it comprehends 4 floors, including the basement, ground floor, first and second. The windows display some outfits from the various fashion shows, with a little picture and a description on the side on each of them. That is cool. It kind of make you feel closer to the models too in my opinion, because you can see in front of you very famous outfits of different fashion shows.

Straight after you get in, what you can see is a fabolous stair case made of crystals and a wall of a massive screen which displays bits of shows and other videos. I loved it.

The different levels are litterally full of underwear, but also accessories such as bags, body lotions, parfumes, make up and so on. The only thing that I wasn’t really happy aboout was the lingerie, which seemed fairly cheap looking (I mean, the sort of lingerie you would find at Primark) and definitely overpriced. For example, a complete set of bra and slips would have costed 50/60 pounds and still with a low quality.

I guess, the brand should say it all…

Overall, the experience is been positive: loud music, cool atmosphere and lots of pink. I bet teenagers will go wild there.
